WHO WE ARE
Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas has one of the
most comprehensive orthopaedics practices in the region. From sports injuries
to back or neck pain to joint replacement, our experts provide the highest and
most personalized level of care possible. We've designed our practices to bring
all aspects of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation together in one
convenient location, it's a team approach that affords our patients- kids to
seniors-a level of care not widely available.
INTEGRATED CARE
Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas has developed
practice locations across the Upstate. Each location has integrated all aspects
of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to allow patients to accomplish more
at each visit, and so that physicians and
therapists can collaborate as they care for patients.
Our partner, Proaxis Therapy, has physical therapists located in
each Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas office,
allowing physicians and therapists to have an unprecedented level of
communication about each patient to optimize rehabilitation.
There is often a time between the end of physical therapy and getting back on the field. Our
partnership with Acceleration Sports Institute (ASI) provides an opportunity
for patients to get back into game shape under supervision. ASI also trains
athletes of every caliber to improve their strength, explosiveness and balance,
which can improve their performance. From golfers to runners to team sports,
regardless of level, ASI can improve athletic performance.
COMMITMENT TO RESEARCH AND EDUCATION
Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas was founded on three
platforms: to deliver the highest standard of orthopaedic care and personal
attention to each and every patient seeking our help, to enhance patient care
through research and education and to train the physicians of tomorrow. This
means that we are constantly looking to improve techniques, devices and reduce
injuries for athletes and non-athletes alike. It's an integral aspect of our
practice.

OUR COMMUNITY SERVICE
The physicians of Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolina believe
strongly in service to the community and take every opportunity to be involved
and give back.
• Our physicians share orthopaedic trauma call
at Greenville Hospital System, the regional trauma center with the highest
volume of cases in the Upstate, with GHS' Department of Orthopaedics.
• Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas physicians provide care at Greenville Memorial
Medical Clinics for the indigent, providing orthopaedic care to all.
• We are actively involved in education programs
with GHS. Our physicians speak routinely in the community to promote healthy,
active lifestyles and injury prevention.
• After-Hours Sports Injury and Orthopaedic
Clinic at our Patewood location from

p.m. to 9 p.m.
• We worked with a local internist and
Acceleration Sports Institute to improve the strength and conditioning of the
city's first responders - fire and police personnel in Simpsonville.
• Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas provides medical supervision for one of the
three largest certified athletic trainer networks in the US.
- GHS provides certified
athletic trainers to over 30 high schools and middle schools in Upstate South Carolina.
- During football season,
Steadman Hawkins physicians supervise a
Saturday clinic-Bump & Bruise-for athletes banged up in Friday night
games.
- Provides certified
athletic trainers to North Greenville University and USC
Upstate at the college level.
- Provides certified athletic trainers to Carolina Elite Soccer Academy.
